The Identity Archives Project (IdAP) is brand new. With your help, this site will be the premier online keyword-searchable database of logos and brand identity designs from around the world. It is a free and open resource, built upon the contributions of graphic designers and brand identity specialists. There is no need to sign-up or register with IdAP in any way, and the database is always available for review. If you are planning or designing a new logo, researching brand identity design, or exploring the design landscape of your region or industry, the Identity Archives Project's database will be an immensely useful tool for drilling-down into the descriptive, subjective, and conceptual elements that make each logo design unique (or not). We hope this database will provide insight into what is currently out there—allowing designers to avoid unintended similarities, and displaying both micro- and marco-views of the identity design universe. This is a (design) community effort, and we need your help to make this resource great! Please take some time to collect your/your design agency's identity design portfolio (in JPG or GIF format, maximum 365x365 pixels), and Submit them along with your keywords at your earliest convenience. See our submission Guidelines for more info, or Contact us with additional questions. Thanks for stopping by, and thank you for your involvement with the Identity Archives Project. IdAP was conceived of and created by Gabe Ruane, a graphic designer living and working in San Francisco, California.
